(More customer reviews)the bulbs are 100watt not 110 watt. the purpose of purchasing these bulbs was to be able to see more at night. it does the job of lighting the way but i would have thought the bulbs would be little more yellow then it is. dont expect a HID yellow but more like a slight tint of yellow. but overall the bulb does a good job lighting the way.

All the local stores sell is 55w bulbs for about $40 a pair. At half the price this is a great deal. Hella bulbs also seem to last longer and be better made than some brands. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a 100w H3 bulb.

(More customer reviews)I just had these installed the other day in my Miata. Even though I like to do it myself, the owners manual recommended against it. Of course I ignored their warning and went about installing them myself. I found out quickly that you have to have tiny hands and a lot of flexibility to get to them. Since it was already 95 degrees outside and probably much warmer in my garage, I gave in and went to the dealer.
I did not like the very yellow-green of the HID bulbs that came with the car and wanted something on the white-blue scale. I went for the 9000K because of the lower price and I think I went a little too blue. If you park it in front of a white wall or garage door, they do not seem to show up that blue but as soon as you get out on the road with all the other cars with their very yellow headlights, these really stand out. If that is what you are looking for, these are the bulbs for you.
I may have to drop down to something in the 6000-7000K region. Not only do they seem too blue to me on the road, the visibility is more reduced than I could have imagined. The factory bulbs (around 4300K) shone done the road quite a distance. These cut off so much shorter.
I see vehicles all the time with 10000K and 12000K bulbs all the time and I really have to wonder how they drive at night. They are for show only. I guess if they are easy to change out, it would not be a problem but my car requires a trip to the dealer to do so.

It's a little misleading, because you would think the color of the light it produces would be somewhat blue, but not at all. SO if you are looking for the blue lights don't get this! This brands just plan sucks. The bulbs lasted less than 2 months and both went out within hours of each other.

I do know that Osram Sylvania makes most of the bulbs on the market today but I just feel cheated thinking that I was going to get Hella bulbs. Osram Sylvania do make great bulbs so I'm still okay with these bulbs.

I wanted a real deep yellow for my fog lights and these look more like a light-yellow color. Still very good bulbs and very bright. (More customer reviews)I picked these up in Canada but it looks like they are now available in the US from Amazon. I was a bit skeptical because I have been trying to find a replacement bulb that replicates or comes close to HID Xenon for my '04 Touareg (I neglected to tick that option box when I bought it). Finally after trying three different brands and styles I have found the winner. I compared the HID lighting in my Audi to the Nighthawk Platinum and one would be hard pressed to tell the difference. It's also very noticeable in nighttime driving, I can see much better on the back country roads and it has given me more confidence when I do have to be out in the dark. A great product that's worth the $.
Just keep in mind that when it comes to halogen bulbs the brighter they are, the hotter they burn and the quicker they burn out. If you have daytime running lights that utilize your headlamps don't expect to get much more than a year out of these (or any similar product such as the Silverstar). If you're looking for longevity then stick with a much dimmer long life bulb.

They offer replacements if they burn out within a year of purchase but I can't wait, driving around with my brights on is asking to get pulled over around here. I have them in 3 vehicles now, and they have lasted years in my VW Jetta and are still as bright as the day I put them in. Some reviews state short life span, so here's the best tip I gave give anyone working with headlight bulbs.
The second you are working with your Silverstars, put on latex gloves and don't take them off until you have the job done. Oil from your skin will create hot spots on the bulbs and they will burn out quickly. If you don't touch them, this won't happen and they should last for quite a few years. At this price, I would recommend these bulbs to everyone that would like to see better at night.
