Easy to install 2 wires. It took me about half an hour to install in my Yamaha Majesty with all the work involved to get to the flasher, but it should take a lot less time if you have easy access to the flasher. The rate of flashing is reasonable, and it is rated at 20 Amps, which means it can handle a trailer too. However, the sound is not really as loud as I like it to be, with road and wind noise on a motorcycle, you need a louder one, it may be loud enough for automobile with windows closed. I think I should go with the automatic cancelling flasher.

Mind you, I had bought what I thought was " the best " bulbs before, so this was a personal experiment for my own piece of mind. Sure enough, there was no problem physically seeing the difference of the new product. Your not going to see that overtly blue sheen that you see in a new german car, but, it's a true blueish halogen. Not the fake "car punk" blue color in the bulbs that try to be real! As I write this, this technology is already dated, so move on if your out for the latest! JS

I do know that Osram Sylvania makes most of the bulbs on the market today but I just feel cheated thinking that I was going to get Hella bulbs. Osram Sylvania do make great bulbs so I'm still okay with these bulbs.

I can see further and better no questions asked, the only bummer is that one of the bulbs seems to have lost the gas for I it turns on but not bright just a dying dim light... Luckily at this price I bought 2 packs of 2.

In any case, I went through 3 sets of SilverStar headlights in a little over a year, it was insane. I got these for $18 for a pair here at Amazon, and they've been going strong for nearly a year - much better than the Silverstars. The brightness seems comparable to them as well - definitely a big improvement from the stock bulbs.

It dim and it's yellow. We have been using the Ultra for 3 years now, and prefer them over the OEM and the regular Silverstars. Now that we have added the fix for the constant burned out bulbs, these are lasting a lot longer than they used to :)

However, even though the Xenons are only 35W, these Hella 100W bulbs have about the same light output. I've used them a couple of times on the interstate as fog lights, and no one really objected to their brightness level.

For those of you wanting a bright white light without the high cost of a xenon headlight kit, or PIAA bulbs (which are top of the line), then silverstars are for you. A word of caution though - they don't last as long as normal or long-life halogens; but they look real nice on any car.
If you're looking for a blue tinged light, or a yellow tinged light, this bulb isn;t for you. It's only for those who like the pure, bright white of efficiency.

(More customer reviews)put a set of these in my girlfriend's 2003 ford focus after trying out some piaa blue bulbs (which got good reviews but didn't really put out much more light than her stock bulbs), these philips bulbs are the real deal no gimmicky color just tons of useful light it's at least double the light output of the stock focus bulbs and about 50% more than the piaa bulbs that I had previously put in. over all these are definitely worth it the length of light has doubled over stock and there is a ton more side coverage as well.
