(More customer reviews)I bought this for my Ram 2500 that was in need of some new wipers. They installed easily enough and seemed to do the job fine at first. Less than a month and very mild use, I began to notice them starting to skip across the windshield even when it was very wet. I pulled them off and noticed that all the joints were very flimsy and this was causing the problem. I guess you get what you pay for because these are cheap.

Trico 14-190 Innovision Beam Wiper Blade - 19" Review

(More customer reviews)I have purchased at least six of these wipers in different sizes. All have failed within a month of use. There is a defect in the design. They work excellently when new. Then the glue fails that attaches the rubber wiper to the blade. The attachment depends entirely on the bond of the glue. There is nothing else keeping the rubber wiper attached to the metal blade. Bosch has a similar item but their wiper fits into a groove on the blade. I bought those. So far so good but it is really too early to tell. This flexible blade type of wiper blade works great. Unfortunately, the Innovision blade promises much more than it can deliver. Save your money.

(More customer reviews)I bought these wipers through Amazon.com two winters ago, and they are stilling giving me a nice, clean wipe, without chattering. I have a Pontiac Grand Prix, and the Trico Winter Teflon Wiper Blades actually fit better, and performed better, than the original blades when the car was purchased new.
I highly recommend these blades, and will buy them again, when my current wipers need replacing. I know that it is recommended that windshield wipers be replaced yearly, but because the wipers are working almost as well as when I first installed them, that is not necessary at this time.

(More customer reviews)The base of the wiper fitted correctly. However, the BMW 525i, has a rounded windshield. So even with all the pressure points, that they say it has, it doesn't fit the windshield. Only the corners touches the glass, the rest not even close.
So, beware, it's not what they say it is.

(More customer reviews)This blade is better the conventional hinged blades simply because it is a beam wiper. I also like the lower profile even when compared to other beam wipers. Now the drawbacks: 1) the blades chatter more than other beam wipers I have tried (Bosch, Michelin, Valeo), 2) on one blade, the rubber separated from the beam because the blade is held in place with a thin strip of what looks like hot-melt glue.This could be a real problem when you're stuck in snowy weather and the snow buildup is tearing off the rubber just when you need the wiper the most.
The best beam wiper I have tried is the Valeo Ultimate, available at [...], for example.

1) Very easy to install, took less than 2 minutes total
2) Noise and chatter free
3) No streaking, wiped perfectly
4) Had these on my car for over a year with no degrade in performance
5) Appear to be a good value compared to other premium blades
I can't specifically comment on the "scrubbing" performance of this blade because where I live it's not very "buggy" nor do we get too much road grunge. I can say that despite the fact that these blades are touted for their scrubbing ability they work excellent as an everyday replacement blade no matter what the environment. Highly recommend.

(More customer reviews)I bought two sets - one for an Xterra (24" and 18"), and a second set for a VW Cabrio (21" and 19"). I followed the Trico website selection guide for both vehicles.
The wipers fit my Xterra without any problems, and I have to say, they are the best I have ever had (been driving for 30 years). So far, rain, sleet, ice conditions are no problem.
The VW Cabrio was a bit trickier - I have updated/edited my original comments. This car has the wiper arm with the large hook. The trick is to push the whole hook end through the opening with the adapter latch open (picture 2 on the instructions). It will displace the blade slightly, then rotate into the correct alignment and pull the hook into place. The pictures provided (2 and 3) don't show the intermediate step, which would make installation self explanatory. Trico support never returned my call, I just fiddled with it a bit until it worked.
Bottom line is, the wipers work great (both vehicles), and are the best I've ever had. Snow, rain, freezing rain, salty spray - it doesn't matter.

(More customer reviews)At less than $15 dollars a piece, I expected these to perform cleanly and smoothly, which they did. They perform just as well as the >$20 blades and I personally prefer the integrated framed look rather than the frameless. Time will tell whether these would hold up well.
One star deducted for the difficult installation. They take a bit of hard tug to get them in, since the plastic is shaped to make it secure and tight.

I have been suffering lousy wipers that screeched and stuttered across my windshield, leaving behind streaks for a couple of years. I tried many other brands, including the fancy stuff from Tripledge and RainX, but none of them worked as well as these Trico Teflon blades. I hope they hold up through a couple of seasons.
I am a little puzzled about Amazon's shipping practices. They sent everything in my order in separate boxes, each the size of a bread box; I bought 4 blades plus one other item, and they came in 5 very large boxes. One of these boxes would have been enough to hold all 5 items that I ordered. If Amazon had shipped them all in 1 box, they would have saved themselves a lot of money, and wasted a lot less cardboard and packaging. There must be more cost effective way for Amazon to ship stuff.
