(More customer reviews)I had used the Bosch Platinum 4, which were supposed to be better, but I was having misfire problems due to a coil pack on the Passat V6 2000 that went bad (which was less than 2 years old).
- Upon inspection some of the Bosch core were partially reduced, some not. Durability is not as good as expected as they are supposed to last more than 2 years. Forum reports were saying that the Bosch Platinum were also misfiring even when you did not feel it. They may have put more load onto the coil pack and possibly responsible for the problem with the coil pack.
- With the NGK, the car feels smoother at low RPM. The idle is smoother and the MPG went up. I have been able to exceed 30mpg on trips where I never did. With only 2 prongs and copper core, they are supposed to be less performing, but they give me the feeling that I have more power with acceleration. Responsiveness is less hesitant. It does not stutter like with the Bosch. These are the OEM for my car and I will simply stick them as the MPG is better, as well as the car drivebility.
