(More customer reviews)This is a sweet model of the 1956 porsche 356 .The car is a classic ,my all time favorite !The sunstar model is a nice scaled version of it! In spite of being a budget one it captures the essence of it. Its all about the shape and Suntar's hit the mark. The stance,the subtle contours and the curves-its all spot on. Even the interiors are nicely done especially when you consider the price point. The dash details are there,the steering wheel is done even has a miniature porsche emblem on it. The front seats fold . The bonnet has a spare tire and kept minimalistic. One area where budget models skimp are headlights which Sunstar has not.
On the downsides -the engine details are definitely not there-this is where the higher priced models differ.The fit of door panels and engine lids are ok-if you view from far its fine but a closer inspection shows gaps and not a very tight fit as seen on more expensive models like CMC or even Sunstar's recent models.(This one is pretty old-atleast 5 years or more and model makers have really raised the bar in the last couple of years).
I really wish sunstar will make remake this model in 1:18 or even 1:12-It will be a jewel on the crown.
