(More customer reviews)I bought this product for my 2007 Impala hoping that I could get a cold air intake. Though it is not universal like it says it is. It states clearly on the box the apollo cannot be used in cars that have the mass air sensor or the air temperature sensor integrated in the air box! On top of that my box came almost completely destroyed from amazon the actual K&N box not the shipping box. The air filter actually chips when you attach the the hose. None the less if I bought it for almost $120.00 I plan to get my money's worth, I'm going to try to find some way of attaching it to my car.

(More customer reviews)First, the result. I can definitely feel a little more hp being developed by my '03 Porsche 911. The intake sound is cool...it sounds like a jet hitting afterburner. Well, maybe not quite that, but it is a very cool sound.
Next, the design and material quality. Overall, I'd rate the material quality as very good. The metal is steel, the hardware is strong, and the filter is robust. The design quality is good enough to do the job. But, I would like it to have a top cover to reduce the possibility of water dripping down on the filter.
Finally, the installation. It went together ok and went in without too much trouble. An easy install job for anyone with hand tools and some basic mechanical ability. Nothing too tricky. For a test drive, I drove up to the K&N factory from San Diego. I had them check out my installation and everything was ok.
Overall, I am pleased with it. I am a bit concerned about getting water in the intake when the car is washed or in the rain. The moisture shield over the filter should help with that.
