(More customer reviews)I've had conventional Rain-X wiper blades in the past and found them to be perfectly acceptable. This is my first winter blade by this company, and it has proven to be a disappointment. When the vehicle is moving it works alright on the upstroke - only minor streaking - but on the down stroke the streaking is absolutely terrible to the point where visibility is drastically reduced. While the vehicle is at rest or moving very slowly the streaking is not nearly as bad, so I suspect that there is something at work with the aerodynamic profile of this wiper that causes it to lift ever so slightly at speed, preventing good contact on the down stroke (perhaps the rubber which completely covers the blade to prevent ice build-up causes it to act like a wing?). Whatever the cause, this does not occur with a Trico winter blade that seems to be of a similar design. Go with the the Trico for a winter blade.
I give it two stars instead of one because in several heavy heavy snow storms with traffic creeping along slowly, this blade did perform adequately where a conventional blade would probably have iced up.
