I can't necessarily speak to the shell (which is made of plastic), but the clips designed to hold the wiper to the wiper arm are made of extremely weak plastic. Broke both of them while trying to mount the wiper to the arm. Clips are easy enough to open/close, but their connection to the rest of the shell is by a VERY thin piece of plastic. VERY easy to break. Can't speak to the wiper performance, but if it's anything like the design of the case I don't have very high hopes.

My wife's Elantra GT calls for this blade on the back window, unlike the ICONs we run on both our windshields. This Micro-Edge wiper has good quality rubber and the smaller shape makes it good for pushing snow. The frame is standard style with some improvements over stock, most notable the ease of installation. Bosch blades practically install themselves, very smart design. However, if you have a choice I would recommend the ICON wipers even with the price premium on those.

(More customer reviews)First, the result. I can definitely feel a little more hp being developed by my '03 Porsche 911. The intake sound is cool...it sounds like a jet hitting afterburner. Well, maybe not quite that, but it is a very cool sound.
Next, the design and material quality. Overall, I'd rate the material quality as very good. The metal is steel, the hardware is strong, and the filter is robust. The design quality is good enough to do the job. But, I would like it to have a top cover to reduce the possibility of water dripping down on the filter.
Finally, the installation. It went together ok and went in without too much trouble. An easy install job for anyone with hand tools and some basic mechanical ability. Nothing too tricky. For a test drive, I drove up to the K&N factory from San Diego. I had them check out my installation and everything was ok.
Overall, I am pleased with it. I am a bit concerned about getting water in the intake when the car is washed or in the rain. The moisture shield over the filter should help with that.

Although it attached to the arm with no problem, only the middle five inches of the blade made contact with my windshield! This blade is too stiff to work with curved windshields. I would only recommend this product for very flat windshields.

(More customer reviews)The AutoTex "Pink" bracketless blade is so quiet! I have never purchased a blade that was so silent. I have a Prius which runs quiet so it is a match made in heaven. I loved that these blades gave back to breast cancer so it made me feel good to spend a couple extra bucks on them compared to the store selection.
The blades were easy to install. It took about 5 minutes for both, if that. The first use gave me a little scare because they seemed to stutter across the windshield. After a couple minutes they must have conformed better to my window because they began to go smoothly back and forth. It hasn't done that since the first time I turned them on. I will update my review in a couple months to comment on durability since I do not feel that is something I can be sure of right now. I am hoping they do better for longevity that the Goodyear ones I got at Costco.
I recommend these.

It was great items in term of heavy duty material used in it. Very well welded and bended, the picture is not the same of the item I was received I know that before I purchased the item so it was not surprising thing to me. It was shipped and sold by [....] they could not estimate the right price for the international shipping when I checked out so they sent me an email to add some money for the extra shipping cost to Saudi Arabia and I agreed. They were great with the time it got me with in 7-10 days with UPS.
I will give the item curt 13220 five stars but because one of the fitting holes was not directly fit due to miss calculated measurements in the factory of Curt. So you need to force it in which I did, or have it filed or something...
My car was VW Touareg 2005.
